Theme:
“Come to me, all you who labour and are burdened, and I will give you rest” (Mt 11:28)
This year on 11th February, we celebrate the 28th World Day of the Sick in every local Church, parish and institutions, especially the healthcare institutions. The World Day of the Sick is an observation started by Pope John Paul II as a way to offer prayers for those suffering from illnesses. The day coincides with the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.
The theme of this year’s celebration is “Come to me, all you who labour and are burdened, and I will give you rest” (Mt 11:28). Please observe the day in a meaningful way in your institutions and communities.
CHAI along with CBCI Health has jointly prepared a poster and prayer service for this occasion. Kindly conduct a prayer service in all our healthcare institutions and parishes.
