Mr Rohit Sathe

 

Rohit Sathe is the Vice President, Philips Health Systems for the Indian Subcontinent. He is a proficient professional with almost two decades of work experience in the healthcare, construction and e-learning industries in India and the UK. Rohit is part of the Philips India Leadership Team, and Overseas Key Initiatives to improve access to healthcare, in the areas of prevention, diagnostics and treatment. In his current position, Rohit is accountable for bringing in leadership experience, and extensive industry knowledge to contribute to Philips’ overall growth plans.

Prior to joining Philips, Mr Sathe was associated with Johnson & Johnson Medical India (JJMI) where his last role was the Senior Director of Strategy, Key Accounts and International (SAARC) Business. In the past, he was also allied with DePuy Synthes, the largest Orthopaedic and Neuro Company.

Dr Vijay Aruldas

 

Dr Vijay Aruldas grew up in Kolkata, completed MBBS from CMC Vellore and then a doctorate in Management from IIM Ahmedabad. He has been General Secretary of the Christian Medical Association of India (CMAI) headquartered in Delhi for 12 years, 2000-2012.

He has been involved with organizations at multiple levels: providing technical and managerial guidance to ensure the professional implementation of programmes, facilitating strategic thinking, organizational leadership and good governance of healthcare organizations, advocating for policy change, overseeing formal and non-formal educational programmes. He has engaged with the NGO, Government and other sectors extensively, and has served on several Boards and Government committees. Throughout his career, including for his doctoral thesis, Dr Vijay Aruldas has visited small, medium and large mission hospitals in most of the states in the country.

Dr Evita Fernandez

 

Dr Evita Fernandez, an obstetrician with three decades of experience, a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists is presently the Chairperson of the Fernandez Foundation under whose banner, the 72-year old Fernandez Hospital is managed. She strongly believes in empowering women to make choices, about issues surrounding birth. She is a strong supporter of respectful maternity care and in 2011 launched the Professional Midwifery Education and Training Programme which initiated the campaign PROMISE (PROfessional MIdwifery SErvices) – committed to creating a national cadre of professional midwives, vital to the care and delivery of low-risk pregnant women. Fernandez Hospital is now recognized as a national training institute for midwifery educators.

With her keen interest in academics, Fernandez Hospital with 10,000 births a year has evolved into a teaching hospital. A prolific speaker, she has received several awards for her efforts in enhancing quality care to women of all age groups.

Sr Dr Beena Madhavath UMI

 

Sr. Dr Beena UMI Belongs to the Congregation of Ursulines of Mary Immaculate. She obtained her MBBS and MS Degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore-India.  She has a Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery from World Laparoscopy Hospital Gurgaon and Fellowship in Laparoscopic surgery from Kiel University Germany. She Completed Certificate course in Healthcare design and implementation from Melbourne University Australia. Presently she is the Deputy Director of the Holy Family Hospital and also works as a Consultant Gynaecologist.

Her other responsibilities include Provincial Councillor for Medical Apostolate of Sacred Heart province of UMI Sisters, National President of the Sister Doctors Forum of India, Health secretary  for the Mumbai Arch Diocese
