On October 28, 1980, Bishop Lumen Monteiro was ordained as a priest in the congregation of the Holy Cross. He was later appointed as the bishop of Agartala on January 11, 1996, and officially installed into the position on May 26 of that same year. Currently, Bishop Monteiro holds the position of chairman of the North Eastern Diocesan Social Forum and serves as a representative of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (Latin rite) on the governing body of Caritas India.
Fr Thomas N L was ordained on 1st January 2006 who belongs to the diocese of Rajkot. He has completedMasters’ in Social Work as well as Hospital Management apart from Theology and Philosophy. He served in various capacities like Assistant Parish Priest, Assistant Director, Director, Chancellor etc in different organizations from 2006 onwards. From 2020 onwards he is the Director of Christ Hospital, Rajkot and Chancellor of Rajkot Diocese. He is also the President of CHAW region.
Fr BinuKunnath belongs to the Archdiocese of Kottayam. He did his doctorate in philosophy from Pontifical University of Regina Apostolorum, Rome. He also has gained Masters in Hospital Administration from St. John’s Hospital, Bangalore. Before being named Director of Caritas Hospital & Educational institutions in May 2019, Father Dr.Binu Kunnath was Administrative Joint Director to Caritas Hospital & Educational Institutions and from May 2019, he is appointed as the Director of Caritas Hospital and Educational institutions.
Sr. Mercy Flora belongs to the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (ICM). She is a Nurse by profession. Her work experience include - Nurse, Tutor and Clinical instructor for 12 years in St. Joseph Hospital and Our Lady School of Nursing, Dindigul. Currently she is the Administrator of St. Joseph Hospital. She has completed a certification course on Pain and Palliative care and Laws related to hospital administration; Advanced Certified Professionals for Quality Implementation in Hospitals (CPQIH); Basic Certified Professional for Hospital Infection Control (CPHIC); and MBA-HRM.
Sr. Shiji Jacob belongs to the Congregation of Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit. After her initial profession, she worked in the slums of Rourkela for two years and pursued GNM Nursing at Holy Spirit Hospital, Mumbai. Later she pursued PC BSc Nursing at Father Muller College of Nursing, Mangaluru.<br /> She also held positions as assistant administrator at Loyola Hospital and Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Diocese’s health commission secretary. After completing MSc Nursing in 2018, from Father Muller College of Nursing, Sr. Shiji became hospital administrator at Loyola Hospital, Bhubaneswar, in 2022. Subsequently, she served as superior at Holy Family Hospital and in the college of Nursing in Patna, Bihar. Since 2022, she has been working as hospital administrator at Loyola Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Sr. Preeti Margaret belongs to the congregation of the sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore, Karnataka. She Holds an M.Sc. in Mental Health Nursing from Delhi University and also trained in Unani Medicine from the Govt. of W.B., Naturopathy in Pune, Public Health at Pune (FRCH), and Palliative Care Management of Substance Use Disorder through AIIMS, New Delhi. She has worked with Sambalpur Social Service Society, Orissa as well as at Bethany Social Services Society, Punjab, Uttarakhand. She assisted in the development of 300 acres of land under a government-sponsored scheme (NABARD) with farmers. Collaborated with the Uttarakhand Government to implement the Right to Information Act (RTI) 2005 in 2 districts. Currently serving as Director/Superior at Sparsh Bethany Health Centre, Burari.
Fr. Siby Kaitharan is a Camillian priest known for his caring, compassionate, and understanding nature Since June 2019, he has served as an Associate Professor at Bharath Matha School of Legal Studies, Aluva, and St. Thomas College of Allied Health Sciences, Chethipuzha, Kerala. He also holds roles as Assistant Director at St. Thomas Hospital, Chethipuzha, and National Coordinator for CADIS. His responsibilities include supporting children with HIV/AIDS, providing counselling, pastoral care, and assistance to individuals with HIV/AIDS, conducting training in health law, healthcare management, pastoral care, and teaching subjects like personality development and psychology. Key achievements include disaster relief management across India, founding San Camillo Industries for People Living with HIV/AIDS in Hyderabad, coordinating housing and medical initiatives, establishing the Lay Camillian Association, and overseeing ministry work for the Camillian Order.
Fr P A Thomas is a graduate in Business Management and also holds a Master’s degree in Sociology. Presently he is the Vicar General of Catholic Diocese of Jhabua. He also holds various posts like Vice President of Catholic Diocese of Jhabua and Jeevan Jyoti Health Service, Director of Jeevan Jyothi Hospital, Meghnagar and Project Director of various projects implemented by Jeevan Jyoti Health Service.
Sr. Dr. Vijaya M. Udumala belongs to the Society of Jesus Mary Joseph (JMJ). She holds a B.Sc. in Nursing from Holy Cross College, Trichy (1992), a Master’s in Nursing from R.A.K College, Delhi (1997), an M.Phil from MAHE, Manipal (2002), and a Ph.D. from Sri Padmavathi Women’s University, Tirupati (2007). With over 25 years in nursing education, administration, and practice, she founded St. Joseph’s College of Nursing, Guntur, and has published extensively in health journals. She is a renowned resource person, authored ``Evaluation Tools in Nursing`` (2016), and guided numerous research scholars. A life member of TNAI, she served on the National CHAI Board and earned multiple awards, including a 1992 Gold Medal. She is a Professor in St. Joseph’s College of Nursing, Nallapadu, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
Sr. Teena Pappachan belongs to the Congregation of Sisters of the Destitute. She is a nurse by profession, and serving the destitute is her passion. She has completed her General Nursing and Midwifery from Nazareth School of Nursing, Allahabad, and her Post B.Sc from Nethaji University, Mangalore. For the past 9 years, she has been serving at various health centers of their congregation in the remotest villages of the North East.
Sr. Princy Mathew belongs to the congregation of Sisters of Charity of Nazareth (SCN) which is based in Kentucky, USA. Sr. Princy’s educational background is rooted in her deep commitment to healing and service. She has done basic BSc in Nursing. Recognizing the importance of leadership in healthcare, she further pursued a post-graduate degree in Hospital Administration. Currently, Sr. Princy serves as the Administrator of Kurji Holy Family Hospital in Patna, Bihar. She is a compassionate leader who exemplifies the true essence of her congregation’s mission. Through her work, she continues to touch countless lives, making a profound impact on the community she serves.
Sr. Velangani Chinnabathina belongs to the congregation of Missionary Sisters of Immaculate. She joined the convent in 2000 and her final profession was in 2014. She Studied General Nursing from Kurji Holy Family Hospital. At present she is working in Nirmala health Center, Mehendipara as in charge of the centre. She is also working as a Staff Nurse in Karuna Holistic Hospital and Institution of Medical Sciences, Narayanpur.
