State-level Sensitization Programme on Government Schemes for CHAI MIs Held
The Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI), in collaboration with Catholic Health Association of Andhra Pradesh (CHAAP), CHAI’s regional unit, organized a “State-level Sensitization Programme on Various Government Schemes for its Member Institutions (MIs) of Telangana State” on 13th August 2014 at CHAI Central Office, Secunderabad. Forty participants representing various member institutions participated in the programme.
Sr. Shibi, Regional Director of CHAAP, welcomed the participants. The keynote address was given by Fr. Arputham Arulsami, Head-Research and Trainings of CHAI. Fr. Jyotish, Karunalayam, Warangal, shared his experiences in working with Government and spoke on the importance of collaboration.
During the programme, Dr. G. Raju, Joint Director, NBCP, Dr. Sanjeev Reddy, Deputy Director, NVBD, Dr. Rammohan, Additional Director, APSACS, explained about National Blindness Control Programme, National Vector-Borne Disease Control Programme and HIV/AIDS programmes and schemes respectively.
Sri. Jitendra (State TB Officer), Sr. Shridhar (DSO, Iodine and Fluorosis), Dr. Ashok Kumar and Dr. Michael (State Surveillance Medical Officer Consultant, Leprosy) spoke at length about schemes available under RNTCP, Iodine and Fluorosis Control Programme and National Leprosy Eradication Programme respectively.
