Orientation Program on Misereor Project Phase – II Conducted
The Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI) conducted the “Orientation program on Misereor Project Phase – II” for Six of its Regional Units (RUPCHA, CHAMP, CHAAP, WBCHA, CHAT and OCHA), at CHAI Central Office, Secunderabad, Telangana, on 2nd September 2014. The Regional Unit Directors/Presidents and Regional Programme Officers participated.
Four components of the project such as Community Health Interventions, National Disease Control Programme (NDCP), National Rural Health Programme (NRHM) and Prevention of Parent to child transmission of HIV/AIDS (PPTCT) were explained to the participants. The project aims at strengthening the Regional Units/Member Institutions in promoting volunteerism in 390 operational communities throughout 60 Member Institutions across the six regional units. And also to enable CHAI MIs to collaborate with the Government schemes in Public-private Partnership mode.
On 3rd and 4th of September, 2014, a training programme on Monitoring and Evaluation was also conducted. Ms. Darsha Roopali, Coordinator, Partnership and Capacity-Building, Catholic Relief Service (CRS) facilitated the programme. And on 5th of Sept’14 a workshop was conducted on “Finance Management in NGOs/MI,” Mr.Leo Amalraj, Senior Auditor, facilitated the programme. The six regional units and CHAI participated in the programme.
