The Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI) conducted four-day regional retreats in its three regions — West Bengal Catholic Health Association (WBCHA), Orissa Catholic Health Association (OCHA) and North Eastern Community Health Association (NECHA) in May.
These meetings were facilitated by Fr. Mathew Perumpil & Fr. Bineesh (WBCHA); Fr. Abhilash (OCHA) and Fr. V.M. Thomas & Sr. Vijaya (NECHA).
Including 3 regions, 50 participants attended the retreat. The participants for the retreat consisted of Regional Board Members, Core Committee Members, and other influential people in the regional diocese.
The objective of the retreat was to bring the Regional Board Members, Core Committee Members, Diocesan Health Coordinators and other influential people in the regional diocese together, forge as well as strengthen their relationships and encourage them to work together in achieving universal health coverage. The retreat preachers focused on health-related matters such as vocation to healing ministry, future thrust of health ministry, compassionate care, and inner healing.
