- In collaboration with `The Union’ and Revised National TB Control Program (RNTCP), CHAI has been implementing Global Fund Round 9 TB Project (AXSHAYA) since 2010 in 96 districts of 10 States (Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Nagaland), with the help of 2880 Health Volunteers from 380 NGOs. The target districts consist mainly of underperforming, poor and backward, difficult and predominantly tribal districts. We made 438,906 people aware of TB prevention and control through the project. 50,783 people underwent screening and test, out of which 7% diagnosed positive and are undergoing treatment.
- IMPACT TB Control Program: From April 2008 to March 2012, CHAI, as part of the First IMPACT TB Control Program, funded by the Global Fund through CBCI Card, collaborated with RNTCP, to facilitate the enrolment of its rural-based member institutions (MIs) in various schemes of RNTCP and implemented the programme in seven states of the country; forging effective collaboration between mission hospitals and the government.
