Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI) is the official national health based organization of the Catholic Church in India with over 3,300 health care facilities as its Members including 484 large hospitals, more than 2000 medium as well as small hospitals and health centres, 121 diocesan social service societies, 27 Nursing schools and 52 Leprosy centers. CHAI’s massive network comprises 11 Regional Units, 600 sister-doctors, 25,000 sister-nurses and 10,000 plus para-professionals who effectively render succour and support to the needy and the underprivileged.
CHAI works in the areas of Communicable Diseases, Non-Communicable Diseases, Community Health, Advocacy, Capacity building of Healthcare Workers and Disaster Management. It has its Headquarters in Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
